So what exactly is Dr. Marc Dussault Get Better Grades Now Guide?

Well, let me start off with by saying. I was looking for a study program that helps get better grade in school for my cousin that in high school and found it. It’s called Get Better Grades Now, and I really wish that I had found it earlier in my life.  When I was in college, I was always exhausted and discouraged.

Now that I’ve read this book, my miserable college experience makes more sense. Looking back, I realize that I never learned how to study smarter, and that meant sacrificing most of my spare time to cramming. I didn’t ever achieve the grades I wanted.

I know for a fact that if I had read this guide year ago, I could have used the advice to get better grades in school. So, I’ve decided to share it with my relative kids who are still in school and anybody who happens to find this review online. Hopefully, somebody else can benefit from the e-book while they’re still in school, and not have to struggle the way I did.

What’s so special about this book?

Dr. Marc Dussault managed to get all kinds of important information into a compact, easy-to-read guide. For me, the best part was that he didn’t write everything in a complicated manner just to sound smart. Instead, I felt like I was getting advice from one of my friends, except that this friend actually knew how to help me figure out how to study and learn without giving myself a heart attack.

Why even bother using a book? Couldn’t I find this all on the internet?

There’s plenty of information online, but I just didn’t know where to start and what advice to trust. I mean, plenty of websites have “how to study” tips and stuff like that. Dr. Dussault’s book brought all of the information together in one place, making it into an actual system. He talks about different ways to prioritize studying and make the most of your study time, but also backs that up with advice on how to keep your study momentum going and how to make sure not to get overwhelmed.

One technique I found in the guide that is interesting is The 80/20 Principle.

Pareto law of distribution or The 80/20 principle is the unequal distribution of thing. 80% of effects come from 20% of the cause. For example:

  • 20% of the course material will represent 80% of the marks in an exam or course.
  • 20% of to-do items on your daily list will yield 80% of your day’s results.
  • 20% of the pea pod will produce 80% of the peas.
  • 20% of the population own 80% of the money.

So what does the 80/20 principle of have to do with learning? Simple! You can figure out what is more important to study by using it. Instead of wasting time on reading or studying that not important, you can figure out the 20% of school work that contribute to 80% of your grades.

Was there any information in the book that didn’t really help?

There were tips in the book for different kinds of learners, so not all of it applied to me. I think that it was a good idea to show multiple methods, though. The book is a workbook, with activities to help reinforce the information. I’m a kinesthetic and visual learner, so the methods described for auditory learners didn’t really apply to me. But, because Dr. Dussault took the time to give advice for each type of learner I got information that would actually help me specifically, instead of a bunch of random tips.

How has How to Get the Best Grades with the Least Amount of Effort made my life better?

Although it’s a little bit too late for me to get better grades in school, I have been able to use some of the techniques that Dr. Dussault recommends; like the “80/20 Principle” for example. The most important thing for me has been learning to prioritize tasks at work.

Since I read the e-book, I’ve been able to get more work done every day. At the office, that means I’m feeling confident and excited about my work for the first time in ages. I’ve felt so good that I’ve started running again. I’m surprise on the fact that a book on ways to improve grades has made this much difference in my adult life.

Now that I’m using these tips for studying smarter (or working smarter, in my case), I have more time to work on big projects. I got a copy for my relative kids who still in high school or just started college, too, so that they can learn ways to study better and be able to relax a little bit more.

My cousin been feeling a lot of stress since she’s starting the 11 grade this year, and now that she has the right techniques for getting better grades I’ve noticed that she seems happier.  I’m happy, too, because now that she’s read the book, I know that she’s more prepared for school than I ever was. Overall, I’m really excited that this book has worked out so well, and I’m glad I gave it a try.
